Cover designs from just £100
A fantastic cover design, like a professional edit, makes all the difference to the presentation and impact of your book. The cover is the very first impression a prospective reader has of your book, and an opinion is formed even before they read your blurb or sample pages.
A book cover can be built around a photograph or original piece of artwork supplied by yourself, or created by me to your exact specifications. There are also image sites that you can browse, such as iStock and Thinkstock, where you can purchase an image which can be used for your cover, and this must be supplied in JPEG portrait format with at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge. Downloaded images from the Internet cannot be used for copyright purposes.
Sample cover designs
I was involved professionally in magazine page design and layout for four years and throughout that time discovered that people also had a desire for 'real' artwork. So, after much encouragement from authors and clients who commissioned me to paint or draw or produce photographs for them, I have used my artistic talent to create some sample cover designs. Samples 1, 2 and 3 were created using my original photographs. Samples 4 and 5 were built around my original oil paintings of Ray Charles and Jimi Hendrix. Sample 6 shows examples of pencil drawings.
The cost of a bespoke cover design starts at just £100, and if this is something you would be interested in discussing, you can contact me by dropping me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or give me a call on 01788 824577 or 07754 778910 and together we can create something really special.
